Mission Statement

The organization is tasked with gendering income and employment opportunities through skill development training and through financial, institutional, advisory and training services, creating awareness about health, sanitation, education environment and ecology;

encouraging and supporting agro-farming to improve the quality of life; eliminating gender inequality and repression on women, children; to rehabilitate the orphans, disabled; harnessing enterprise development changes to address the needs of the disadvantages sections and above all creating a society based on equity, equal opportunities values and rights.

Our Mission and Objectives

Self Development's initiative aims to improve literacy, health, employment, and environmental sustainability by offering education, healthcare, training, and support services. It empowers disadvantaged communities, promotes social justice, and helps people adapt to climate change while fostering skills and innovation.

Rehabilitate Orphans

To rehabilitate the orphans, disabled distressed and calamity affected people

Social Forestation

To create awareness about intensive social forestation and take up programs to preserved ecological balance

To encourage the rural poor in fishery, poultry rearing, homestead gardening etc. and provide training thereof as well as give assistances

Training

Health & Nutrition

To create awareness and take up programs for health, nutrition and sanitation and render health services through establishment of health centres for the improvement of quality of life

Eliminating Illiteracy

To take up programs for elimination of illiteracy through both formal, non-formal and higher education

Empowering Self-Reliance

To generate income/ employment opportunities for the unemployed youth, destitute women, marginal farmers and landless people so as to make them self-reliant and provide financial, institutional, advisory and training services

To help the disadvantaged rural poor through micro finance and savings and inspires them to utilised the homestead lands for income generation and self- reliance

Financial Operations of Our NGO

At our NGO, we ensure transparency and sustainability through multiple channels of financial support, which allows us to continue our mission of women empowerment, education, and skill development. Our financial operations are driven by:

1. Bank Transactions: All financial dealings are conducted through secure and transparent banking processes to ensure accountability and traceability.

2. Members' Donations: Our dedicated members contribute through voluntary donations, providing critical funds to support our various initiatives.

3. Members' Annual Fees: Members of our NGO pay an annual fee, helping to create a sustainable flow of resources for operational and project costs.

4. Selling Products at Joyeeta Foundation: We also generate income through the sale of handmade handicraft items, which are created by the skilled women trained by our NGO. These products are sold at the Joyeeta Foundation, promoting financial independence for the artisans and supporting our cause.

This combination of financial resources enables us to impact the lives of those in need while maintaining transparency and accountability in all our transactions.

Our relation with Joyeeta Foundation

Our NGO partners with Joyeeta Foundation to sell traditional handicraft items made by skilled women from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. This platform allows us to showcase the craftsmanship of these artisans and generate income that directly supports their livelihoods.

1. Handcrafted Products: We offer a wide range of traditional handicraft items, all meticulously crafted by the women trained through our empowerment programs. Each piece reflects the cultural heritage and creativity of these artisans.

2. Profit Distribution: The profits from these sales go directly into our NGO's organizational fund. This fund is then distributed among the workers, as well as the women and girls involved in creating these beautiful products, ensuring financial support and a sense of economic independence.

3. Global Reach: In addition to local sales, we extend our efforts abroad, offering high-quality items such as Sarees, which are renowned for their craftsmanship and attention to detail. This helps us expand our impact and provides a broader market for the artisans' work.

Through Joyeeta Foundation, we create opportunities for women to earn a living while promoting traditional craftsmanship on a global scale.

Our Regular Activities Throughout the Year

At our NGO, we are actively engaged in a variety of initiatives that take place on a regular basis, supporting our mission of community empowerment and health.

Events:

1. Polio Vaccination Campaign: Each year, we participate in administering polio vaccines on behalf of the Directorate General of Family Planning. This crucial effort ensures the health and well-being of children, helping to eradicate polio in our communities. We conduct this activity regularly throughout the year.

2. Celebration of Key Events: We take pride in celebrating important national and international days to raise awareness and promote social causes. These include:
